1:1 Autism LSA | Hackney | ASAP

We are thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a committed 1:1 Autism Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant school in Hackney!

This role is perfect for those eager to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Autism. The school holds a 'Good' Ofsted rating and is home to a skilled and friendly team focused on delivering outstanding education to every student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with Autism, assisting them in their academic, personal and social development
  • Tailor learning strategies to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they thrive both academically and socially
  • Offer behavioural guidance, supporting students in overcoming challenges and gaining independence in their learning
  • Work alongside teachers and other experts to ensure the best possible support for each student
  • This role is both a challenge and deeply rewarding, offering the chance to create a lasting effect on the lives of children with Autism
 
What We’re Looking For:

  • A relevant degree from a top 30 UK University (e.g. Psychology)
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those on the Autistic spectrum, is essential
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both students and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help students with additional needs progress
  • A deep passion for supporting children in overcoming obstacles and reaching their full potential
