Autism Support Assistant | Hounslow | September 2024

An inclusive school in Hounslow are looking for caring and hardworking Autism Support Assistants, with previous experience supporting children with SEN.

 

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils 1:1 in a mainstream school, working closely with the SENDCo and trained professionals.

 

Main responsibilities of an Autism Support Assistant…

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with children with ASC, autism, and ADHD
  • Following the guidance of the SENDCO and SEN professionals to support pupils to excel
  • Ensuring that all children have a safe learning environment and are assisted in their learning and development

 

What do I need to become an Autism Support Assistant?

  • Obtained a degree in Psychology from a UK University
  • Has previous experience and a passion for working with children
  • Has excellent communication skills, patience and resilience
