Job description
Computer Science Teacher – Secondary School – IG1 – January Start
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in the IG1 area, starting in January 2025.
The school we are working with is committed to providing an outstanding educational experience, with a strong focus on student engagement, achievement, and fostering innovation in technology. The school’s Computer Science department is at the forefront of modern teaching, and they are eager to bring on a passionate teacher to help guide students through the evolving world of technology.
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will benefit from regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and a supportive, collaborative teaching environment. The school offers a structured and positive classroom environment where behaviour standards are upheld, ensuring teaching time is optimised. You will also be part of a close-knit department, with plenty of opportunities for professional growth and development.
This Computer Science Teacher role involves teaching Key Stage 3 (KS3) students, with some Key Stage 4 (KS4) classes. You will work alongside a dynamic team of teachers who are passionate about technology and dedicated to inspiring students to develop a love for computing and digital skills. This is a full-time, permanent contract starting in January 2025.
The ideal candidate for this Computer Science Teacher position will have a degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Computer Science, ICT) and at least some teaching experience in a secondary school. A passion for technology, the ability to create engaging lessons, and the confidence to work within a dynamic team are essential.
Located in the IG1 area (Ilford), the school is easily accessible with excellent transport links for commuters. If you are an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher ready to inspire students and be part of a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.
