A secondary school in Hounslow is seeking an EAL-focused Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and some with SEND needs.

 
EAL Learning Support Assistant - Role Overview:

• Provide one-to-one and small group EAL support.
• Adapt lesson materials to improve accessibility.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons.
• Encourage student confidence in spoken and written English.
• Monitor progress and give feedback to staff.

 
EAL Learning Support Assistant - Requirements:

• Degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or related field (or EAL support experience).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for language development.

 
EAL Learning Support Assistant - Desirable:

• Experience with EAL/SEND students.
• TEFL, TESOL, or similar qualification.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
