Finance Manager | Hackney

Are you an experienced Finance Manager with expertise within schools?

An outstanding school are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with knowledge using PSF and XERO and a holder of accounting qualifications. You would be responsible for accounting, forecasting, financial risk analysis, and management of the organisation’s assets and contract register. 

Finance Manager salary is £36,500-£41,800 per annum depending on experience.

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

• Produce the financial reports and/or schedules for the preparation of final audited accounts in line with current DFE guidelines and accountancy standards.
• Ensure that financial standards are complied with in line with current legislation and requirements.
• Advise budget holders and other stakeholders of the financial implications of their decision and/or necessary changes required to meet DFE guidelines.
• Take responsibility for the schools accounting procedures, ensuring financial handbooks are kept up to date and adherence to all policies and procedures.
• Manage the finance team on a day-to-day basis ensuring adherence to all internal controls and procedures.

Finance Manager Requirements:

• AAT Level 3 Minimum, AAT Level 4 Preferred
• 2:1 Degree in either Maths, Computer Science, Economics, or similar subject
• Knowledge using PSF and XERO
• Proven experience of strong supervisory skills.
• Experience of working in a school is desirable.
