We are seeking a Head of English to lead a successful department, driving student progress and curriculum innovation, starting September 2025.

 
The Role of a Head of Department & Requirements:

• Lead and manage the English department across Key Stages 3-5.
• Develop and implement engaging schemes of work and assessments
• Mentor and support teachers within the department.
• Monitor student progress and drive high standards of achievement.
• Hold QTS (or equivalent) with leadership experience in English.
• A degree in English or a related subject (minimum 2:1) from a UK-recognised university.
• Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills.
