KS1 SEND Teacher | Hillingdon

Job Title: KS1 SEND Teacher
Location: Hillingdon
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MP4/5 (Based on experience)
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a passionate and experienced KS1 SEND Teacher to join our team in Hillingdon. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEND children and a commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

KS1 SEND Teacher | Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of SEND pupils in KS1.
  • Work with the SENDCo to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Differentiate lessons to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and staff.
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to support SEND students.
  • Contribute to the development of SEND practices and policies.
KS1 SEND Teacher | Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching SEND children, preferably in KS1.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passionate about supporting children’s individual needs.
KS1 SEND Teacher | Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Autism, ADHD, or other specific learning difficulties.
  • Relevant SEND training or qualifications.
