Are you an experienced and inspiring English teacher looking to take the next step in your career?

We are working with a highly successful school in Bromley that is seeking a talented Lead Practitioner of English to join their team from September 2025.

About the Lead Practitioner role:

This exciting opportunity allows you to lead and inspire both students and colleagues to achieve excellence in English. As a Lead Practitioner, you will play a key role in developing outstanding teaching practices across the department. This includes supporting curriculum planning, delivering engaging lessons, and mentoring other teachers to improve their practice.

About You:

The ideal Lead Practitioner of English will:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree.
  • Have a strong track record of delivering excellent English lessons.
  • Be passionate about developing outstanding teaching and learning strategies.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support colleagues.
  • Be committed to promoting high expectations for all students.
Why Join This School?
  • One of the leading schools in South London with very impressive GCSE results.
  • Excellent CPD opportunities, including leadership development.
  • Centrally managed behaviour systems allow teachers to focus on teaching.
  • Modern facilities and a welcoming staff community.
  • A strong focus on staff wellbeing, with clear policies to support work-life balance.
  • Located in Bromley, with excellent transport links and on-site parking.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team where creativity and innovation are encouraged. With access to excellent resources and dedicated leadership support, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on teaching and learning across the school.

In addition to your leadership duties, you will have opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as debating clubs, creative writing groups, or theatre productions — inspiring students beyond the classroom and developing a lifelong love for English.
