Learning Support Assistant (LSA) | Buckinghamshire | INDB
A secondary school in Buckinghamshire is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with SEMH and SEN needs. This is a permanent PAYE contract (£96–£105 per day) with opportunities to train as a qualified teacher or educational psychologist.
Learning Support Assistant - Role Overview:
As an LSA, you will work closely with teachers to support students in their learning, both one-to-one and in small groups. You will assist in managing behaviour, adapting lesson materials, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Assist teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs.
- Encourage student independence and engagement.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN staff.
Learning Support Assistant - Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting.
- A passion for education and supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A willingness to undertake relevant training if required.
Learning Support Assistant - Desirable:
- Experience working with SEND students.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE or a degree in Education/Psychology).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
