Are you an ambitious and driven Maths Teacher seeking an exciting and progressive leadership role for September 2024?

We are looking to appoint a highly committed and inspirational Maths teacher with strong leadership qualities to join an outstanding Maths department as their new Second in Department.  You will be joining an excellent school that in recent years, have consistently produced results that are above the national average in Maths.

Based in a wonderfully inclusive Secondary School, you will enjoy teaching children of all abilities and ages. You will be able to show expertise in managing behaviour and in doing so, support the culture for learning which exists within the school.

Maths Teacher (Second in Charge – 2ic) – Croydon

• MPS/UPS + TLR (Outer London)
• Has a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Maths
• PGCE or PGDE with QTS
• Can teach engaging lessons to students up to KS5
• Has at least two years of teaching experience
• Is passionate about teaching students from disadvantaged backgrounds
• Has an ambition to progress through the school

You will be joining a Maths department which has a stable team of Maths teachers, all of whom are experienced and passionate about their subject area. The successful Second in Maths will support the Curriculum Director with the overall leadership of Maths across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and the continuing development of the Maths curriculum.

Maths is a popular choice at A-Level; a reflection of the school’s commitment to the subject area and the enthusiasm shown from students. There will be significant career progression available for the successful Maths Teacher.
