Mental Health Support Assistant – Hackney, London – Immediate Start

Key Responsibilities – Mental Health Support Assistant:
  • Support Primary Teachers during classes, providing additional help to all students as needed
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 support to students with SEMH challenges
  • Adapt teaching styles and modify the curriculum to accommodate individual learning needs
  • Work closely with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health issues to build confidence and engagement
  • Contribute positively to the school’s compassionate and inclusive ethos
Requirements – Mental Health Support Assistant:
  • Minimum 2:1 degree from a Russell Group university
  • Experience working with children with learning difficulties or special needs
  • Passion for supporting SEMH students and an empathetic, patient approach
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to developing student wellbeing
Role Details:
  • Location: Hackney, London
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term until July 2025
  • Pay: £96-£105 per day (via PAYE, holiday pay included)
