Psychology Graduate | Harrow | January 2024

Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to utilise all of your knowledge and gather some hands-on experience post-graduation? A fantastic school I am working with, in the borough of Harrow, are looking for a Psychology Graduate to bring into their supportive, warm and ever-growing cohort. I am looking for a competent and confident Psychology Graduate to fulfil this role as a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant, supporting students with a range of needs. The ideal candidate would not only be a Psychology Graduate, but also have gained some experience supporting not only children but also individuals with additional needs.

Psychology Graduate | About the job :

  • As a Psychology Graduate, you will have the background knowledge to enable you to understand behaviours, empathise and effectively handle situations.
  • This role will see applicants support children with SEND such as but not limited to; ASD, SEMH, SaL needs, Physical Disabilities and ADHD. 
  • Applicants will need to be a Psychology Graduate from a Top-20 UK University. 
  • Responsibilities will include; making sure students hit their EHCP targets, supporting children with the curriculum, supporting students pastorally, communicating with staff and parents, and working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team with the rest of the SEND team.
  • Full training will be provided, as well as opportunities for CPD (Career Professional Development).
  • Get paid up to £100.00/day | Inclusive of Holiday Pay | Paid weekly via PAYE.
  • Full-time role, Monday-Friday 8:30 am -3:45 pm.
  • Initial Short Term Contract lasting until July 2024, but with the opportunity to carry on with the school if the first year goes well!

To apply for the Psychology Graduate role, you should be a Psychology Graduate with a strong academic record at Degree, A-Level and GCSE level. Prior teaching experience in a formal setting would be an advantage.
