This full-time role provides hands-on experience supporting students, with excellent opportunities for training and progression into Teacher Training.

• Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4pm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in Science, working closely with pupils of varying abilities to help them excel.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management, and the creation of engaging learning materials.
• Offer personalised academic support to students who require extra help, helping them grasp challenging Science concepts.
• Participate in intervention programmes designed to boost students’ academic performance and confidence.
• Support students in their practical Science experiments, ensuring they understand key concepts and safety measures.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher, helping to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Science department and other teaching staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Opportunity to get involved in extracurricular activities and projects within the Science department.

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree in Science from a top UK university.
• Strong A-Level results in Science-related subjects.
• Passion for education and a desire to work with young people.
