A highly regarded secondary school in Hackney, London is seeking a passionate and creative Science Teacher to join its creative and popular Biology/Chemistry Department. *Please note, a TLR is available for a suitably qualified Science Teacher to assume the role of KS3/4 Science Co-ordinator*

Science Teacher | The Role:
  • Deliver inspiring and engaging Biology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, helping students develop a deep understanding and appreciation of literature and language.
  • Use creative and innovative teaching methods to engage students and encourage a love of reading and writing.
  • Collaborate with the Biology Department to ensure the curriculum is delivered effectively and enriches students’ learning experience.
  • Take on additional responsibilities, such as curriculum planning or mentoring, with the potential for TLR opportunities for those with the relevant experience.
Science Teacher | The Successful Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching that results in excellent student outcomes.
  • A degree in Biology/Chemistry, Biology Literature, or a related subject (2:1 or higher preferred).
  • A passion for Biology and the ability to inspire students to excel in reading, writing and critical thinking.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience or a desire to take on additional responsibilities, with leadership potential.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and a drive to contribute to the overall success of the department.
