SEMH Teaching Assistant – Haringey, North London – November 2025 Start Date

Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant for a Haringey, North London primary school to begin in November 2025

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will gain valuable experience in delivering tailored educational support to students in need. Working closely with professionals, you’ll develop your skills in classroom management and specialised teaching techniques for children with SEMH needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated support to children with SEMH needs, ensuring they receive the necessary attention.
  • Lead small group activities and assist in 1:1 sessions.
  • Collaborate with the school’s SEN team to monitor and support student progress.
  • Encourage and inspire students to reach their full potential through targeted learning strategies.
  • Assist in classroom management and create a positive learning environment.
 
Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must have a degree from a top UK University, previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. A genuine interest in SEMH and special educational needs, and you must be able to have an immediate start for this role in Haringey, North London.
