SEN Teaching Assistant – Role Benefits:

SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support for a sixth-form student with ASC, challenging behaviours, and potentially non-verbal communication needs.
- Implement Team Teach strategies to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Assist in creating and delivering individualised care plans and personalised learning experiences.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Promote the development of life skills, independence, and social interaction.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working in SEN schools or specialist settings is essential.
- Team Teach certification is required to support students effectively with challenging behaviours.
- A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with complex needs.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in specialist environments over mainstream schools.
