SEN Teaching Assistant | Sutton | ASAP

Role:

  • Adapt and create learning materials tailored to meet the specific needs of individual students
  • Offer 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Provide emotional, social, and physical support to students
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive, supportive atmosphere
 

Requirements:

  • A 2:1 or higher Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field from a top 20 UK university
  • Prior experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and effective behaviour management
  • A child-centred approach and a genuine passion for supporting students in overcoming learning challenges
