SENCo – Role Overview:

• Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
• Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupils with SEND
• Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with additional needs
• Develop and implement EHCPs and targeted intervention strategies
• Train and support staff in delivering high-quality SEND provision
• Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practices

SENCo – Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• National SENCo Award (or currently working towards it)
• Proven experience as a SENCo in a Primary School setting
• Strong understanding of SEND conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties
• Ability to lead, inspire and collaborate with staff
• Enhanced DBS certificate
