Graduate Speech and Language Therapist – Newham – January 2024 Start
We are recruiting for a Graduate Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic secondary school based in Newham, starting in January 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Speech and Language Therapist to begin their career in an educational setting, supporting students with a range of speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language difficulties
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies for student support
  • Help create and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions where necessary
  • Advise staff on strategies for speech and language support in the classroom
  • Work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure effective interventions
Key Requirements:
  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field
  • A passion for working with young people in an educational environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience in a school setting is desirable, but not essential
