STEM Academic Mentor | Barnet, London

 

Are you a confident and knowledgeable STEM Graduate keen to secure a STEM Academic Mentor role within a Secondary School in Barnet, London?

 

We are looking for STEM Academic Mentor with a minimum of a 2.1 degree in Maths, Sciences or related subjects from a top UK University. Experience working with children is desirable, but not essential.

 

STEM Academic Mentor | Job Summary

  • STEM Academic Mentor – Commencing in September 2024 until the end of the academic year
  • Full-time STEM Academic Mentor role: Monday - Friday
  • Opportunity to gain QTS and PGCE
  • Role Paying £500-£600 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis

 

STEM Academic Mentor | Job Summary

  • STEM Academic Mentor Improving social skills and confidence building for pupils
  • Plan and teach STEM lessons to KS3 & KS4 students (with KS5 option)
  • Receive mentorship from outstanding STEM Teachers and Lead Practitioners
  • Assistant assist students from Year 7, up to Year 13 students applying to top universities
  • Support students in a classroom setting, 1:1, and through small group interventions.
  • Previous Tutoring experience and SEN would be advantageous
