Upper Key Stage 2 Lead and Primary Humanities Lead – Responsibilities:-
Upper Key Stage 2 Leadership:

• Lead Year 5 and Year 6, ensuring high-quality teaching and excellent outcomes for all pupils.
• Support your team in delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with the school’s vision.
• Work closely with families to foster strong partnerships and support pupil progress.
• Promote a positive learning culture and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to drive improvements across the school.

 
Primary Humanities Leadership:

• Oversee the Humanities curriculum (History, Geography, and Religious Education) from Nursery to Year 6.
• Develop and implement engaging Humanities schemes of work that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
• Work with the Secondary Humanities team to ensure curriculum continuity and progression.
• Plan trips and enrichment activities to bring learning to life and deepen pupils’ understanding.
• Provide coaching and professional development for colleagues to strengthen Humanities teaching.

• Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support others.
• A passion for Humanities and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
• Experience in leading or developing a curriculum area is desirable but not essential.
