2iC Science required for a forward-thinking secondary school in Hounslow, starting in September 2025.

 
This 2iC Science role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Science Teacher ready to step into leadership. As 2iC Science, you’ll support the Head of Science in delivering high-quality teaching across KS3–KS5 while contributing to curriculum development and raising attainment. The school is looking for a motivated 2iC Science who can lead by example, inspire colleagues, and model excellent classroom practice.

 
The successful 2iC Science will join a department with strong results, collaborative planning, and a focus on academic rigour. This is a perfect role for a Science specialist with prior teaching experience and a clear desire to influence wider departmental strategy.

 
2iC Science – Responsibilities:

• Lead on KS4 curriculum planning and assessment
• Mentor junior staff and ECTs
• Teach across KS3–KS5 with subject specialism
• Support whole-school STEM initiatives

 
What We’re Looking For:

• UK QTS and relevant Science degree (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)
• Experience teaching up to GCSE or A-Level
• Evidence of leadership potential or experience
