ASD Support Assistant – Havering – Start Date: ASAP Are you a Psychology Graduate passionate about supporting students with Autism? We are seeking an ASD Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Havering. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with SEN students, helping them thrive academically and emotionally.

Role Overview:
  • Full-time, term-time only position
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism (ASD)
  • Assist in promoting progress and academic attainment
  • Support behaviour management in the classroom and around school
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to deliver tailored learning strategies
  • Confidently lead ASD-focused sessions and interventions
Essential Requirements:
  • 1:1 or 2:1 Psychology Degree from a leading UK university
  • Experience working with SEN children, particularly those with Autism
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and confident in managing student behaviour
  • Strong understanding of child development and special needs education
  • Capable of working closely with students, teachers, and parents to enhance learning
