Job description
Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant – East London – ASAP Start
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people, particularly those who need additional support with behaviour?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in East London, starting ASAP. This role is ideal for someone who is dedicated to working closely with students to help them manage their behaviour, succeed academically, and thrive socially.
In this role, you’ll work directly with students who face behavioural challenges, offering one-to-one support and helping them engage with their lessons. You’ll collaborate with teachers and the school’s SENCO to implement strategies that support these students in a positive and structured environment. Your work will go beyond academics; you’ll help students build essential life skills like self-regulation, confidence, and social interaction.
The school offers a warm and collaborative environment where staff work closely together to create an inclusive atmosphere. As part of the team, you will have access to professional development opportunities and training, helping you to grow in your role and contribute to the school community. You’ll also enjoy a healthy work-life balance with manageable working hours and time for reflection and planning.
We’re looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning. Whether you have previous experience working with children in a behavioural or educational setting, or you’re simply motivated to support young people, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.
