Graduate Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets, London

Join a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with experienced teachers, assist in lesson delivery, and work one-on-one and in small groups to support students' learning across various subjects.
 

Graduate Teaching Assistant | Job Summary
  • Full-time term time only Graduate Teaching Assistant role | Long term contract until July 2025
  • Opportunities to qualify as a teacher and gain QTS
  • Role paying £420-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
  • Experience working with children is essential
  • 2:1 or First-Class degree from top 20 UK University (backgrounds in English, Mathematics, or Science are especially valuable)
 

Graduate Teaching Assistant | Job Role
  • Supervise small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis enhancing their academic confidence and readiness
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and observe and track student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers
  • Support students by guiding them through well-structured lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Support the class teacher assisting with classroom setup and materials preparation
