- Strong academic qualifications, including QTS and at least a 2:1 degree in English
- Proven success in teaching GCSE English at a high standard
- Passionate about English and a track record of raising student achievement
- Expertise in teaching at least one of the English subject areas to A-Level
- Ability to enhance the profile of English within and beyond the school
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive continued success in the department
