Mental Health Support Assistant | Tower Hamlets


Do you have a passion for supporting children's wellbeing and a desire to work as a Mental Health Support Assistant for the remainder of the academic year? 


Do you have experience working with children with SEMH/SEN?

In this role, you will support students in their learning and academic achievement, helping to enhance their communication and social skills.
 

Mental Health Support Assistant | Job Summary
  • Full-time term time only Mental Health Support Assistant Role | Long term contract until July 2025
  • Work alongside qualified SEMH professionals, Specialist Teachers and Educational Psychologists
  • Role Paying £420-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
  • Minimum 2:1 Psychology-related degree from a Top 20 University
  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH is essential

Mental Health Support Assistant | Job Role
  • Support small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis in the classroom or in intervention sessions
  • Highly rewarding role making a meaningful impact on children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties needs
  • Supporting and comforting Student with Anxiety and/or Depression, ASC and Autism
  • Ensuring that all children have a safe learning environment, using a composed approach to de-escalate situations and assisting in their learning and development.
