- Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant role

- One Year Contract / September-July Term Time Only / £475-£550 per week (inc. Holiday Entitlement)
We are looking for a Psychology Graduate who is keen to gain more child centered experience, especially experience that involves working with vulnerable children with additional needs.
As a Psychology Graduate you will work as a Teaching Assistant alongside children in a school setting who have Education Health Care Plans and are considered vulnerable. The children you will be supporting have Autism statements and in some cases are non-verbal, therefore previous experience supporting children like this is essential.
The school employs Psychology Graduates to support children with SEN statements. Typically, Psychology Graduates work at the school for one year to increase their experience when working with and developing their understanding of vulnerable children.
Psychology Graduates will benefit not only from direct experience but also the CPD that the school has to offer. Internal and external training is a regular fixture at this school, you will also receive specialist manual handling ‘Team Teach’ to equip you for challenging situations which can arise when working with vulnerable SEN children.
This school is looking for a Psychology Graduate who can demonstrate their enthusiasm for helping children of all abilities to learn and grow. Working as a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with the schools SENCo to ensure a safe and comfortable environment is always maintained for the pupil’s benefit.
To apply for the Graduate Psychologist role, formal experience working with vulnerable children with complex needs is absolutely essential! Interviews for this Graduate Psychologist role will be held between May and July.
