School Finance Officer | Merton

 

Are you a looking for a finance opportunity in a school setting and have relevant school finance experience?

 

We are looking to appoint a passionate and highly driven individual who is an ambitious and passionate professional and who will support the school with their finance processes ensuring the schools deliver a high-quality education to the learners that attend the schools. You will manage the day-to-day financial processes and administrative procedures required of the school.

 

School Finance Officer responsibilities:

  • Issuing order request forms to budget holders and ensuring that all requests, once complete, are processed through the academy's accounting system
  • Obtaining authorisation, coding and posting all purchase orders and purchase invoices
  • Posting monthly sales invoices, ensuring the collection of associated revenue in a timely manner
  • Preparing and managing payment runs
  • Reconciling ‘Statement of Accounts’ to ensure suppliers are paid correctly and in a timely
  • manner
  • Further duties
  • £27,500 – £32,000 per annum
  • Full Time, Permanent, Immediate Start

 

School Finance Officer Requirements:

  • Educated to A-Level, preferably in a related subject
  • Previous experience of using SIMS, FMS and Parent Pay
  • Preferably with previous experience working within a finance team in a school setting
  • Experience of working within financial control environments
  • An understanding of financial systems and procedures
  • Working and communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders
