Are you a Science graduate eager to inspire and support students in their academic journey? Are you aspiring to become a Science teacher and looking to kickstart your career in education?


We are seeking a dedicated Science graduate to join a high-performing secondary school in Tower Hamlets as a Science Academic Mentor to increase academic performance across the school.   


Science Academic Mentor | Job Summary
  • Full-time term time only Science Academic Mentor | Long term contract until July 2025
  • First-Class Science related degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Child centered experience ideally tutoring is desirable
  • Role paying £400-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
  • Ideal role for an aspiring Teacher keen to gain some hands-on experience.


Science Academic Mentor | Job Role
  • Receive mentorship from outstanding Science Teachers and Lead Practitioners
  • Support students in a classroom setting, 1:1, and through small group interventions in all three sciences
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and materials
  • Comfortable supporting GCSE and A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics
  • Assist students in developing effective techniques to prepare for their exams enhance their performance
