SEN Support Assistant | Tower Hamlets, London


Are you driven to support secondary school students with SEN, helping them excel both academically and personally?


We are looking for a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This exciting role will see you working closely with students with a range of SEN, including Autism, SEMH and Speech and Language challenges.


SEN Support Assistant | Job Summary
  • Full-time term time only SEN Support Assistant role | Long term contract until July 2025
  • Collaborate with experienced SEND professionals, specialist teachers, and educational psychologists, gaining invaluable firsthand experience.
  • Role Paying £400-£500 per week | Paid weekly on PAYE basis
  • First-Class or 2:1 Psychology related degree from a top 20 UK university
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
 

SEN Support Assistant | Job Role
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the students, guaranteeing a safe environment for all children
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and supporting students learning in build independence
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, including transitions between lessons and, where necessary, personal care.
