- Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to implement individual learning and care plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Use your initiative and proactive approach to adapt activities and strategies to engage students and promote their independence.
- Be an empathetic and patient presence in the classroom, fostering a positive and supportive environment for the students.
- Assist with sensory and therapeutic activities, contributing to the enrichment of students' lives and promoting their well-being.
- Experience in a PMLD school or residential setting with PMLD service users is highly desirable.
- A Social Care degree or similar qualification would be well-suited to this role.
- Manual Handling and Child and Adult Level 2 Safeguarding qualifications are advantageous.
- Strong empathy, patience, and emotional resilience, with a genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to think on your feet and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
