- Key Responsibilities of the SENDCo Role:
- Oversee and manage the SEN department to ensure all students with EHCPs receive tailored support.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide effective interventions.
- Assign and coordinate Teaching Assistants to meet the needs of SEN students.
- Develop and monitor strategies to ensure all students thrive academically and personally.
Essential Requirements for the SENDCo Role:
- Hold a NASENCO qualification (essential).
- Demonstrated experience in working with children with EHCPs.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills to lead a successful department.
