Our client school based in Purley is looking to recruit a Graduate who can specifically provide support to pupils aged 11-16 with Speech and Language difficulties.

Speech and Language Assistant

• Fully inclusive Secondary School in Purley
• September 2024-July 2025 [initial one-year contract]
• Monday-Friday | £500 per week, paid on a PAYE basis
• Graduates who specialise in English Language, Linguistics or Psychology are desirable
• Gain vital experience working with vulnerable children
• Ideal role for Aspiring Speech and Language Therapists

Working alongside students across Years 7-11, you will work closely alongside the school SENCO and be responsible for creating and delivering specialist 1:1 intervention that are designed to develop engagement, rapport and speech and language development.

Speech and Language Assistant

• SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – Speech and Language
• Transforming the lives of young people
• Producing interactive sessions to assist pupils with understanding spoken language, speech sound pronunciation, attention and listening skills
• Working 1:1 with pupils who have behavioural, emotional, social, and medical needs
• Opportunity to work alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist
