Speech and Language Assistant | Westminster | ASAP

Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to secondary school students with speech and language challenges
  • Partner with teaching staff to create a positive learning atmosphere that caters to all
  • Assist students in improving their communication skills, boosting their confidence, and encouraging positive behaviour through individualized interventions
  • Customize your teaching strategies to meet each student’s specific needs in a caring and secure environment
  • Gain invaluable experience in a provision specifically designed for S+L, enhancing your career in education and special educational needs
Requirements:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher from a top 30 UK university in Speech and Language, Psychology, or a related subject
  • Previous experience supporting SEN students in a S+L capacity
  • A ‘can do attitude’ towards the inclusive education of all students
  • An honest commitment to helping students overcome communication barriers
