Head of Geography – Westminster – September 2025
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Geography to lead a thriving and high-performing department in a prestigious secondary school in Westminster. The school is known for its commitment to academic excellence, delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum that enables students to excel in their studies and progress to top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, and other Russell Group institutions.
The successful candidate will take on a leadership role within the department, driving improvements and ensuring that students achieve outstanding outcomes. With a strong Progress 8 score of +0.33 and a 96% university acceptance rate in 2023, the school offers an environment in which your leadership and expertise will be highly valued.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a TLR 2c, starting in September.

- Lead and manage the Geography department
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies
- Drive academic progress and outcomes in Geography
- Provide support and development for department staff
- Ensure the department’s alignment with the school’s overall vision and values
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and co-curricular activities
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Significant experience teaching Geography at KS3, 4, and 5
- Proven leadership skills and a track record of departmental success
- A passion for Geography and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
