An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic Head of Geography to lead a thriving and high-performing department in a prestigious secondary school in Westminster. The successful candidate will take on a leadership role within the department, driving improvements and ensuring that students achieve outstanding outcomes. With a strong Progress 8 score of +0.33 and a 96% university acceptance rate in 2023, the school offers an environment in which your leadership and expertise will be highly valued.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a TLR 2c, starting in September.

Head of Geography - Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Geography department
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum strategies
• Drive academic progress and outcomes in Geography
• Provide support and development for department staff
• Ensure the department’s alignment with the school’s overall vision and values
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and co-curricular activities

Head of Geography - Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS)
• Significant experience teaching Geography at KS3, 4, and 5
• Proven leadership skills and a track record of departmental success
• A passion for Geography and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
