Learning Support Assistant | Wandsworth

Are you passionate about children’s wellbeing and looking to gain a year’s experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a school setting?

Eager to get into the Psychology field but not sure where to start?

Ribbons & Reeves are recruiting for a rewarding Learning Support Assistant role where the successful applicant will be supporting pupils in a Secondary school & Sixth Form based in Tooting who have needs across SEMH, ASD and others.

Learning Support Assistant | Job summary:

  • Working with children who have SEMH needs across different year groups who require additional help and support.
  • Implement agreed work programmes to ensure the correct support is given.
  • Ensuring that all children have a safe learning environment and are assisted in their learning and development.

 

Learning Support Assistant | Job requirements:

  • Obtained a minimum 2:1 degree (ideally in Psychology) from a Top 30 UK University.
  • Previous experience working with children within a school setting.
  • Aspirations to become a Psychologist/Therapist.
  • Strong communication skills and patience.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you can expect hands-on training as well as consistent support throughout the academic year from SEND specialists from around the school.
